    Are You Ready To Lose Weight Without Dieting? Take the Survey and Find Out!

    It's tough juggling a family and a business. As a mother and a self employed woman, you know that it requires a ton of effort, diligence and discipline. No doubt that you’ve got that in spades. But you also have a ton of stress, frustration and overwhelm to negotiate on a daily basis. Perhaps you, like many other moms reach for food to melt away the stress and to ease your pain.

    If you’ve been dealing with an unbudgeable weight problem for awhile, it’s likely that diets have failed you in the long run. That’s right. I said that diets have failed you, not the other way around.

    As a savvy and independent woman, you are a powerhouse and you make your own decisions. You’ve become conditioned to do that. Diets by their very nature attempt to break you and bend you into a common mold, forcing you to cowtow to their rules to make them work.

    Naturally as a smart and self reliant gal, you are resistant to being told what to do. You are the big dog and you run the show. That is who you are. As the independent spirit you know you are, there’s a part of your subconscious mind that bristles at the thought of being told what to do.

    Now let me ask you... if you want to make your own choices, then why do you keep on falling back on diets to lose the excess weight. Wouldn't it be nice if there were an alternative that gave you more choices. There is. I’d like you to take the attached survey and see if you are ready to make the leap to losing weight without dieting.

    Extreme Self Care For Moms

    With the holidays finally behind you, wouldn't it be nice to devote some time to taking care of yourself for a change? Aren’t you simply exhausted from the holidays? After all, with all the running around you’ve been doing, shopping, cooking, baking and gift wrapping, don’t you deserve a break too?

    Ask yourself.

    "What do I love to do?"

    Now imagine seeing an image of yourself the last time that you enjoyed something just for the fun of it. Where were you? What were you doing? Was it a bubble bath, or perhaps a stroll in the park, enjoying a pedicure, manicure or even a massage? The sky's the limit! These are all wonderful little things that you can do to deliver a quick pick me up and add sparkle to your day. It’s up to you to decide that you are worth the extra time and effort.

    Sometimes making the decision to take better care of yourself means setting better boundaries. When you set a boundary, you teach people how to treat you with loving kindness… and that’s a good thing.

    Are You A Diet Survivor?

    Last month I joined a Yahoo Group called Diet Survivors. It is run by a woman named Linda Moran. Linda is a deeply caring person who is an Author, Licensed Educator, and a trained Crisis Counselor. Suffice it to say that she’s a truly amazing gal.

    Linda created Diet Survivors because she felt a burning desire to give back to others. She has successfully navigated through the trenches of eating disordered behaviors. Her personal experience with weight gain, yo yo dieting and her ultimate triumph over the diet mentality has fueled her passion to create several books and to generously share her wisdom and support on the board.

    Are Your Thoughts Making You Fat?

    This morning I received an email from a reader named Sharon in Australia. Sharon mentioned that she is happier when she is not dieting. However now and again she falls back into the clutches of the old diet mentality and gives in.  She mentions that one of her biggest challenges is that she does not accept the way that she looks now.

    This is such a common feeling among people who have dieted for many years. Oftentimes we have very skewed images of ourselves. The problem is that when we think those fat thoughts, we become fatter. Since the powerful brain chemical, norepinephrine gets stimulated with a good workout due to that kind of nasty thinking, the fat cells that are sitting around in our bodies, get tickled and become ‘oversexed’,  transforming the nutrients in our bodies into fat , pure fat! Yikes!

    How damned scary is that?
