    Permission Eating Approach Helps To Banish the 'Bad Girl' Blues After A Binge

    Ist1_2481119_cake_2 Last week I had received an email from one of the women registered in my Losing Weight Without Dieting Program.  We’ll call her Sally. As Sally faced the first challenge of the program, "Legalizing All Foods: Welcoming Back the Former Forbidden No-nos, she went shopping and bought her favorite cake. She brought it home and waited until she got hungry.

    Attempting to follow the second principle of the program which is to pay attention to your hunger and eat when you are hungry, she ate and enjoyed the taste so much that she didn’t stop until she felt overfull and bloated. She was beside herself with disappointment and guilt. She wrote to me saying that she fell head first into a binge. Just to clarify, by definition a binge is characterized as eating a large quantity of food over a discrete period of time.

    Connirae Andreas' "Naturally Slender Eating Strategy Secrets Soon To Be Revealed"

    Connirae_2 Connirae Andreas, well known therapist, trainer and co-developer of Neuro Linguistic Programming has graciously agreed to allow me to interview her tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27, 2007 to discuss her Naturally Slender Eating Strategy. Connirae has always been slender and realized back in 1979 that this was no genetic accident. She recognized that she actually had acquired a strategy that enabled her to maintain her natural slender body/mind connection. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be attempting to model her way of eating intuitively.

    Attracting More Daily Joy With EFT

    The Law of Attraction states that we draw towards us that which we think about most often. What things do you think about? Sometimes our thoughts are clear and focused and other times they just appear to be a mixed jumble of images, sounds, feelings and conversations. The following short exercise might be useful to you the next time you find yourself feeling blue.

    I just finished reading a very inspirational article in the latest EFT newsletter. It was written by Dr. Patricia Carrington. In the article, she demonstrated a simple method for applying EFT to anchor in positive emotions and memories in our daily lives.

    Use the Temporal Tap To Attract Your Ideal Weight

    Last week I was approached by one of my new clients. We'll call her Barbara. She said, "Andrea, I can't believe this Losing Weight Without Dieting Program can ever work for me. I've tried nearly every diet and over the past twenty years, I've had nothing but failures." I even did hypnosis for a year and watched enviously as all my other friends melted down to their ideal weight, I only lost 7 pounds in one year. I'm doomed to failure."

    As I listened to Barbara, I heard so many things beyond what she was telling me. For the most part, it seemed that she had begun to think of herself as a 'fat woman' and despite all attempts at dieting and hypnosis, nothing worked for her.

    Has this ever happened to you? It's so common and incredibly frustrating but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. By changing the way that you see yourself, you can get thinner without dieting. The following exercise is called The Temporal Tap and it was actually used by Gary Craig, the creator of Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT. This is the exercise that Gary credits to his 40 pound weight loss without dieting.

    Interrupt the Pattern Of Overeating: Take Up A New Hobby

    You’ve had a healthy balanced dinner and you ate until you felt satisfied.  You’re comfortable.  It’s an hour later and you’re looking for something.  Your brain conjures up images of the evening’s leftovers, or you see something that reminds you of a flavor that you love, perhaps chocolate is on the kitchen counter.

    All of a sudden you feel empty and want to nibble on something.  Those Peanut M&Ms look good, so you reach for those.  How about those cookies left over from yesterday’s party? You eat those too.  Pretty soon, you have lost control and you are just scarfing down anything you can get your hands on.

    An Inconvenient Truth: A Powerful Documentary On Global Warming!
