    Say Goodbye to Dieting: Eat What You Really Want

    In order to end emotional eating, it's important to say goodbye to dieting. Diets deprive and make you feel badly about yourself. They also imply that something is wrong with you. Nothing is wrong with you. If you haven't succeeded in dieting, you're not alone and I have great news for you.

    There is an alternative. Here is a short video that I created this morning on the importance of eating what you really want. In my program, Say Goodbye to Dieting, I advocate a slow and gentle approach to making peace with food and ending emotional eating.

    TAT Process - What Do You Really Want?

    This is a wonderful process that I teach the women in my No More Diets Program. The basis of it is in the science of Acupressure. It cleanses the body of tension and toxins, while at the same time you are accessing a higher level of awareness because you are unknotting stress in your body.

    The way that I apply this process and teach it to women is to combine this holding process with the simple question, "What do I really want?"

    I recommend getting into this pose whenever you feel the first signs of what you would consider to be hunger. I like to set a timer for 5 minutes and just remain in the pose, in a reclined position on the sectional sofa in my office, as shown behind me in the video.

    To take the weight off of my arms, I prop each of them up with a pillow on either side. This is such a nurturing position. One of my clients said that it is just like having a warm shower and a teddy bear.
