    Jack Canfield's Success Principle #1 - Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

    How many times have you experienced something that upset you and immediately found yourself eating out of control as a result of not knowing how to handle the stress?

    Do you have situations in your life where you feel like you are a victim and can’t get out of a role that you fear has been carved out for you by others? I’d like to share something that I learned yesterday.

    Recently a friend and colleague of mine offered me an opportunity to read Jack Canfield’s book, “The Success Principles: How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be.” She invited me to be her buddy and to go through the book, chapter by chapter and do all of the exercises one by one and check in with her periodically and share and support each other in completing each task. I was excited and jumped at the chance for this unique opportunity to be accountable and uplevel my life.

    Yesterday I started really reading the book and the first of Jack’s principles is this:

    Take 100% responsibility for everything that happens in your life. He went on to explain how we all avoid doing this and if we take responsibility for everything that happens, by doing that we also take responsibility for changing anything that we don’t like about our life.

    I’m sure that you can relate and think about certain situations in your own life where you feel that you had no say in the matter, no choices, no voice. Let’s just set aside the whole argument about reincarnation, and just consider taking responsibility for everything that has happened throughout your adulthood.

    What would change if you believed that you had said or done or allowed yourself to be put in the position that you now face? What would you do to extricate yourself from that situation so that you could enjoy new freedom, have more choices, be more powerful?

    Tap On Resistance to Release Negativity and Get Moving Again

    Resistance is fueled by feelings of hopelessness and negativity. When you are experiencing those feelings of wanting to give up and go stick your head in the sand, it's a natural inclination that we all have as humans. We all want to be safe. Please don't be quite so quick to beat up on yourself. Girl, you don't deserve that nasty kind of treatment. Don't you think you merit more compassion toward yourself?  Instead of kicking yourself in the can, allow yourself to just become curious and be willing to explore and dig a bit further to understand what is making you feel so badly and fear change?

    I'd like to invite you to do that in an environment where you can feel safe and at ease with other women also dealing with their fears and resistance. Please join my next free call on Monday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. We'll be handling those feelings of resistance.

    Free Support Call for Women: Shedding the Shame:

    There's nothing like a big fat dose of shame to send a woman who feels fat head first into a carton of ice cream. On the other hand, taking a bold stand for oneself, shedding self-shame, REFUSING to continue taking on other people's shame, and actively demonstrating self-acceptance and compassion has a definite slimming effect.     Intuitive Eating: Dream or Nightmare?

    Many women have been coming to my free Yahoo forum lately wondering why Intuitive Eating hasn’t worked for them. Just to be sure that we are all on the same page, intuitive eating is a permission based eating approach to food. It works by focusing on inclusion rather than exclusion.

    In a typical diet environment, food is restricted. In Intuitive Eating, no food is restricted.
    You can imagine that with this approach there can be some very serious pitfalls such as gaining weight. I’d like to address that by sharing my own experience with exploring Intuitive Eating for nearly 11 months.

    Buddywork: The Best Way To Uplevel Your Success

    Buddy work and accountability is an invaluable asset to any personal growth program.

    Welcome to The Juicy Woman Blog. This blog for non-dieting women is a companion to the free Yahoo! Juicy Woman message board and the free weekly Juicy Woman Fabulous, Fit and Free Call)

    In all of my programs, I encourage women to get a buddy from within the group and work with that support partner often. In my own experience, I’ve found that this is absolutely invaluable to the success of any personal development program.

    The reason for this is because it enables the two people to practice new techniques and to handle overwhelming emotions and fears consistently in a safe and non judgmental space of mutual support. In this way, your issues don't get a chance to 'boil over' and overinflate since you are both working on them consistently.

    The Bonios Plan: Beyond Dieting

    When I first decided that I would become an Intuitive Eater, I was thrilled beyond words at the prospect of being able to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it.

    With the only guideline being to wait until I got hungry, I had carte blanche to eat all the time, or so I thought.

    As a Certified Energy Coach, I had a whole bag of tricks that I had used in the past and taught other women to use successfully to eliminate cravings, but I decided to set that aside to test out this amazing process. So there I was, just a gal, face to face alone with food for what seemed like the first time. The difference was that I was actually giving myself permission to eat whatever I wanted to whenever I was hungry and naturally I would stop when I was full, LOL!

    Carol Look, EFT Master Uses Tapping To Bust Down Resistance to Losing Weight

    Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a trend. Many of my clients in my Losing Weight without Dieting Program have been experiencing resistance. After several weeks of great success, changed habits, more mindful eating, and paying attention to their hunger, several of them found that it had become very difficult to get motivated, feel excited about losing weight and truly relax into the process, consequently they fell back into patterns of overeating.

    I recognized that I was having the same struggles myself. When I decided to follow my own program privately alongside them, I noticed that I, too was slowly losing weight, food was losing its allure more than ever, I was craving salads like mad and overall I was becoming much more confident and self accepting of my own body. I was enjoying the skin that I was in! That's when I created the video that you'll see here on this site. I began the process of Losing Weight Without Dieting with my group at 199 pounds and over a short couple of weeks, I had lost 3 pounds.

    Right after doing the video in mid May, I noticed that I was getting really cranky with my husband, Angel, working in my home office around the clock, losing sleep, craving junk food again and eating way beyond the point of feeling satisfied. Feeling sexy was out of the question. After weighing myself  recently, feeling fat I discovered that I had regained those 3 pounds back again and was at 199 once more. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was struggling with some internal resistance but needed to explore it further. I decided that it would be great to address the groups' resistance as well as mine by making that the focus of one of my
    Free Weekly Juicy Woman Fabulous, Fit and Free calls. I was determined to hit this moving target!

    Zap Your Negative Self Talk, Powerboost Confidence and Begin To Enjoy Your Right To Bear Arms

    Yesterday I was shopping at Lane Bryant’s at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, New York. As I was about to go into the fitting room with an armload of clothes, a lovely woman stopped to compliment me on the blouse that I was wearing. It was a blue and green mosaic design short sleeved peasant blouse that I wear off the shoulder.

    I noticed as I looked at her eyes, there was a mournful expression in them. I wondered why. Then I smiled at her and said, you know this same blouse would look incredible on you. I pointed to the rack and told her, It’s still available. What do you think of getting it?  I watched her as her the once lovely smile that she had faded and the corners of her mouth turned downward into a sullen frown. Then she said, “Oh no, my arms are too fat. That type of blouse is not for me.” I told her that belief was probably coming from the little screaming meanies critics that have been perched on her shoulder, perhaps for years holding her back from wearing those types of blouses or doing other things that she wanted to do in life.

    Permission Eating Approach Helps To Banish the 'Bad Girl' Blues After A Binge

    Ist1_2481119_cake_2 Last week I had received an email from one of the women registered in my Losing Weight Without Dieting Program.  We’ll call her Sally. As Sally faced the first challenge of the program, "Legalizing All Foods: Welcoming Back the Former Forbidden No-nos, she went shopping and bought her favorite cake. She brought it home and waited until she got hungry.

    Attempting to follow the second principle of the program which is to pay attention to your hunger and eat when you are hungry, she ate and enjoyed the taste so much that she didn’t stop until she felt overfull and bloated. She was beside herself with disappointment and guilt. She wrote to me saying that she fell head first into a binge. Just to clarify, by definition a binge is characterized as eating a large quantity of food over a discrete period of time.
